Vojo is a private voice journal for iOS. You record short voice notes, Vojo transcribes them and helps you reflect on your days, weeks, months, and years. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

Data we collect

  • Your account email address.
  • The content you create in Vojo: voice recordings, their transcripts, journal entries, and goals.
  • A user ID and the basic technical data needed to operate the app (for example, to sync your journal to your account).

What we do not collect

We do not collect your location, your contacts, or advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not show ads, and we never sell your data.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Transcribe your voice recordings.
  • Analyze your entries for mood and recurring themes.
  • Generate your daily summaries and weekly, monthly, and yearly reflections.
  • Sync your journal across your devices.
  • Provide, maintain, and improve the service.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers who process your data only on our behalf, and never for their own purposes:

  • Supabase — secure storage, authentication, and database.
  • OpenAI — speech-to-text of your recordings.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — analysis of your entries and generation of your reflections.
  • RevenueCat and Apple — subscription management and payments.

The AI providers listed above do not use your data to train their models.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit. Voice recordings are stored in a private storage bucket that only your account can access.

Retention

We keep your content until you delete an entry or your account. Deleting your account removes your data from our systems.

Your rights (GDPR / EU)

If you are in the EU or the EEA, you have the right to access your data, export it, correct it, and delete it. Vojo includes an "Export my data" option and a "Delete account" option in the app. You can also contact us directly to exercise any of these rights.

Children

Vojo is not directed to children. You must be at least the age of digital consent in your country to use Vojo.
